History
Qweerty’s background has always been the empowerment of marginalized communities. In 2015, Qweerty began as a Facebook Group for LGBTQ Minecraft players. As it became more and more clear in divisive times, more advocacy was needed. Qweerty began raising money for nonprofits like the National Center for Lesbian Rights and The TransLatin@ Coalition. Qweerty Gamers was founded as a 501c3 LGBTQ Gamer Nonprofit in late 2018 with the generous services of Paul Hastings, a renowned international law firm, with the goal to champion the inclusion and visibility of LGBTQ Gamers into the broader gaming world.
